Wonderful people and great cars. The West Coast Lotus Meet (WCLM) brings together Lotus enthusiasts to enjoy the camaraderie of Lotus enthusiasts from both near and far.
The WCLM will be four days of total Lotus celebration starting Thursday, October 20 and ending Sunday, October 23. This year WCLM is hosted by members of the San Diego Lotus Club (SDLC) in the north San Diego County city of Escondido.
Escondido is located just 30 miles northeast of downtown San Diego and 20 minutes from the coast, Escondido is home to the San Diego Wild Animal Park, beautiful wineries, craft breweries, unique arts and culture, delicious culinary experiences and a charming historic downtown. While most identify San Diego County as the birthplace of California, it is not so widely known that it is also the oldest vinticultural area in the state (the first vines were planted in 1769) and one of the top microbrewery cities in the nation.
The back roads of the county are world class as they wind from sea level to over 6,000 feet. Weather in mid-October is sunny and a comfortable 70-75F daytime and cooling to around 60 in the evening.
Stay tuned for details about the events you do not want to miss.
